Privacy, in plain words.

The app
- Your voice goes from your computer directly to the speech service you chose (Groq, OpenAI, Deepgram or another), under your own key. Lafza has no server in the middle. That service’s own privacy terms apply to what it receives.
- Polish, when on, sends the transcript to the AI service you chose, with the same direct connection. Only the text and a style are sent, never the app name or window title.
- Recordings are held in memory and dropped when no longer needed. They are written to disk only if you turn that on, and they stay on your computer.
- Keys live in Windows Credential Manager or macOS Keychain, never in a settings file.
- Logs stay on your computer and record steps, timings and app names. Never your text, your keys or your audio.
- Anonymous reports (crash reports and a daily usage count) are off unless you turn them on in Settings. They never hold text, audio, app or site names. Every report that leaves your computer is also written to a local file so you can read exactly what was sent.
- A paid licence, if you buy one, is activated once with our store (Lemon Squeezy), which is told the key and the app name only, and re-checked about monthly.
This website
- No tracking cookies and no ad pixels. Traffic is counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. The site remembers your light or dark choice in your browser only.
- The demo is silent and never uses your microphone.
- The email form stores your email, your computer type, the page language and how you found us (for example a link from a post). We use it only to tell you Lafza is ready, as you asked. We don’t sell it or share it, other than with the service that sends the message. The legal basis is your consent.
- Your rights: ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, and we’ll do it. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data to deliver it.
